My Rating: 3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

Average movie. I went to watch this film just because of Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah. The movie started off with good suspense. The base of the story was nice, but they did not execute well. No doubt Prabhu Deva has played an outstanding role of a psycho killer. I feel that the directors did not use him well into the story. Tamannaah also has played a great role as a dumb and deaf girl who is rich and has a huge property.

The movie goes at a low pace. They could have added some bloody killing scenes to make the movie more terrifying. They have such scenes, but every wound is kept out of the camera view.

The killer’s intensity is nicely shown, he keeps chasing the girl all over the house. But he just keeps on following her, wherever she goes. Killer just scares her many times and the girl runs away. This becomes boring at times. It loses the thrill.

The movie could have been much better. I thought this movie would be good in spite of the reviews. Prabhu Deva and Tamannah’s last horror film “Tutak Tutak Tutiya”(Devi) was an unexpectedly entertaining movie. So I went with the same mindset for Khamoshi. But I was slightly disappointed. There was a nice plot but the filmmakers did not implement the story well. I would give it 3 out of 5.
