Not up to the mark!! I really liked The Conjuring, I thought this will also be the cherry on the cake since it is showing the reason why conjuring happened. The filmmakers tried to put the detailed story of Annabelle but they failed to add that horror, scare and thrill in the movie. Annabelle is produced by James Wan. I thought this movie will also be a hit like The Conjuring. Sadly this is not the case.

The overall movie was so slow. The horror scenes were not so prominent, even children will not get scared out of them. Many scenes were predictable. Rather than a horror movie, they made it more emotional in the sacrifice scene.

If you just want to know the consequences of having Annabelle at your home, you can watch this movie. But if you are expecting a super horror and thrilling experience, then this is not the movie.

If you are a real fan of Conjuring series, you can just give it a try. But you will be slightly disappointed with this movie due to lack of horror punch in the film.

In the whole movie, only the doll was scary, I was so disappointed to know that they have not used the highly powerful object they have. The doll itself has that strong creepy factor that she can turn any scene into a scary scene. Unfortunately, she was not used properly.

I would give it 2 out of 5.
